Team@deidaa has been closely associated with artisan communities of South Asia & Polynesia. What human hands can create with simple tools have never ceased to amaze us. Apparel and accessories made in certain regions of the world are often dismissed as 'substandard'. We believe craftspersons everywhere are capable of producing high quality goods. However, are we, as consumers willing to pay a little extra for hand made artisan crafted goods made with much love and affection. What is the responsibility of end users then, do we look for the lowest price tags which in turn motivate fashion buyers to source products at ridiculously low prices from offshore suppliers, or do we buy from those that support artisan communities particularly in the poorer regions of the world...
